It’s Hard to Believe that the Bogalusa Heart Study Began 50 Years Ago in 1973
The study’s original goal may have been to find a link between age and the development of heart disease, but it gradually grew to include much more. The study started with thorough data collection and in-depth evaluations of children’s daily routines, meals, and physical activity.
If you’re a former member of the Heart Study, your legacy lives on in the daily discoveries that bring us closer to curing and preventing heart disease. If you haven’t been in touch recently, give us a call, we’d love to have you back. There is still more work to do!
